A hallucination is a fact, not an error.

The Life Quest community logo is ugly.

Suggestion: Make it not ugly.

Thank you, Anxiety. I've said that myself (though maybe not as...strongly worded.  Cheesy) However, I'm glad somebody else has said something.

In my defense, it's not my business to contribute anything here except dialogue.

I decided to not be lazy and fire up photoshop for a few minutes and this is what I came up with.  If I'm severely bored I'll come up with something better.

In Roy's defense, when one of you can do better, we'll use that one.  In the meantime we'll use Roy's because no one else has bothered to contribute anything.

That's funny, because Roy was the one who agreed with me when I posted it on the leadership boards.

In my defense, it's not my business to contribute anything here except dialogue.

I disagree. You're not here just to dialogue. We want you to contribute more than that. It's great that someone who's not on the team has a suggestion of something they think it would make it better. It's not just "our" site. It's everybody and anybody's site. We want to make it inviting. Input is good.

This actually looks cool. I like the colors. I'm not artsy when it comes to this kind of stuff (and I'm not really computer savvy). If you get anymore ideas, please post.

There is a difference between constructive criticism and being deliberately rude.  I know Roy well enough to know that he wouldn't have responded to anyone who was rude to him.

I am all for humor and sarcasm; However, I think we need to be careful how we use it, especially when it's in written form (as opposed to verbal form, where we can use voice inflection, facial expression, etc. to get across the humor of it.)  I personally feel people can be just as forward without being harsh.  We need to be respectful of others' feelings.  The logo can stand to be improved, but Roy has done a great job of setting everything up on this board.  And I agree that it's everyone's board and we all need to contribute to make it the best we can.

Roy, the new one looks great Smiley

I wasn't aware that Roy had designed the logo we have, especially considering he agreed with me about changing it.

Never meant to offend you, Roy. I apologize.

I didn't mean to imply Roy designed it...I don't know if it did or not.

it's something I threw together to replace the generic one that came with the template. 99.8% of my time has been spent making sure things work, I haven't had time to mess with it. Regardless, coming out of a major failure, I haven't gotten everything going yet.

No, that's the impression I got from Amanda's post. I didn't think of it as being offensive because I didn't know Roy created the current logo.

If you want to have a new logo, then set up some guidelines for the purpose of the logo, what LifeQuest wants it to represent, who is the perspective client base, and set a deadline for entries.  It would be nice to have a winner/new logo if that is what the leadership wants for the next Christian Artist Night.

Cynical Humor by the way is enjoyable sometimes.  Just be sure that if you use it, you can stand to have someone else give it to you.  Grin  And still be friends.  Tough part. Angry  Kiss
