What's a number?

Pulp Fiction - I love how the story line all finally comes together at the end.  So many great actors in this one and Samuel L. Jackson is at his best.  This movie is referenced a lot in pop culture.

I only had to read two or three of your posts to know this was one of your favorites (snicker).

My three favorites are:

L.A. Story - Steve Martin wrote and directed this film in an amazing way. The central story and surrounding conflicts are amazingly blended together. The comedy is both subtle and hilarious. The parallel to Hamlet is entertaining. The mystical moments are moving. It's just all around brilliant.

Hero - The Dustin Hoffman movie from the early 90's, not the pulp movie form a few years ago. I'm an optimist, and the idea of the Hero in all and the fall shorts in all coming together is just perfect.

Field of Dreams - "Is this heaven?... No, it's Iowa" I've seen the corn fields of Indianna, which is close to Iowa, and there is something mystical about them.

A child recently asked me what eight times four is. I thought about it for a while. I put together some experiments. I ran some tests. I searched through numerous published articles on number theory.
I then came back to the child and responded, "What's a 'four'?"
