I have a few more levels to beat, but I'm going back and "refining my skills" because you'd laugh at the number of shapes I had to use for some of them        I did decide to look up solutions to see if I was correctly utilizing the pin/hinge thing (surprise - i wasn't), and Brandy, you may be interested to know there are youtube videos that show you how to do it. 

Lest you think I cheated, I'm only looking at the ones I've already done to see how badly I did!!
