She's right - but I believe it is more of a societal stigma - not the GOP alone.

In the last election, it was the democrats who were touting the 'abstenance' issue about Bristol Palin.  Then it became all about Sarah and her son's birth. 

Not fair to anyone in politics.  kind of says a lot about our society and what we value the most.  Embarrassment of a scandal or helping a teenager learn to cope with life or helping others.
