What's a number?

« on: August 10, 2009, 12:16:52 PM »

Jen and I don't have a lot of time to sit around watching TV. On top of that, our schedules are a little random, and so what time we do have is hard to schedule around watching a single show at the smae itme every week. Therefore, we are picky about what we watch.

Jen and I were introduced to Big Bang Theory by my brother, who was introduced to it by my parents, who were introduced to it by my aunt peg. And I'm glad it happened. This show is hilarious.

The show centers around two physics researchers that live in an apartment together. They represent every stereo type of a science nerd that you could imagine. Also, there are the three friends, a post doctoral mathmatician, an engineer with a masters degree who lives with his mother, and the clueless, but hot next door neighbor. This is hands down, the best sitcom I've ever seen.

Now I know that saying this is a good sitcom is like saying an interesting game of curling. However, this show is good. I have yet to find a person that doesn't love this show. I recently got Overseer watching it. I'll let him say what he thinks.

The third season of this show will be starting up soon, and I must say, "If there is only one TV show that you're going to watch this season... change your schedule so you can watch two and make Big Bang Theory your second."

A child recently asked me what eight times four is. I thought about it for a while. I put together some experiments. I ran some tests. I searched through numerous published articles on number theory.
I then came back to the child and responded, "What's a 'four'?"
