To make the statement that there is no absolute truth is illogical. By answering "no" to my question you just made an absolute statement which itself implies the existence of absolutes. You are saying that the very fact there is no absolute truth is the one and only absolute truth. There are several logical problems besides self-contradiction to overcome to believe there are no absolute or universal truths. |

Truth is an elusive object. There is an absolute and universal truth. Do you agree? There is always a probability that there is. Just as well a probability that there is not. Then there is a probability that we are incapable of understanding or interpreting a universal truth. Would be hard to prove, as we don't have the knowledge or access to every piece of the universe, dimension, time or matter to test what is a universal truth. If you want to say in your belief there is an absolute and universal truth then you may be correct in that "truth". But if another belief has an opposite version of the "truth" they too may be correct. As we are unable to view the entirety of the universe to determine what is really the universal "truth". Heck, Anxiety may be correct in that there is no universal "truth". If I believe that everyone has their own interpretation of what is the "truth" then I may be correct. |

I would agree with your statement to the extent of human knowledge, it is what it is; yet I will hold out that there may be other entities of higher intelligence and knowledge that may be able to correct our thoughts or collaborate them. Right, wrong, indifferent. All depends on your point of view and which side of the fence you are on.  |
