One of the questions that is often asked is how can a book as ancient (and some would say archaic) as the Bible be an authority in how I should live my life in my world today?

I found this talk given by N. T. Wright, the Anglican Bishop of Durham, England.  While there are some parts that I'm still thinking about, as a whole, it is a very good discourse on what does "authoritative" mean and how is it relevant to our lives.  Below is the link to a copy of his talk.
