Hi Everyone,
You are immortal. Many of us probably already "know" this, but few of
us "live" like it is true. Everything about our world tries to
convince us of our mortality. We talk about life expectancy, mortality
rates, buy life insurance, make lists of what we want to do "before we
die", and even "eat, drink, and be merry" for we are but mortals. The
result is that everything we do, everything we experience, everything
we strive to accomplish is from the perspective of the fact that we are
mortal. Let's make the most of today for it is one less day to live.
Our lives become focused on surviving and ensuring a quality of life.
We become myopic. And the end of our tunnel vision is a grave. We
technically know that that is not true, but we live as if it is.
